Tashkent, May 20 -- The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan has decided to cancel the final exams in schools in the current academic year.

The decision was made pursuant to President's instructions to create favourable conditions for the population during the quarantine, as well as taking into account the numerous appeals of parents, Minister Sherzod Shermatov said.

Schools, as an exception, are recommended to set final grades for students based on their academic performance for three quarters of the school year.
