Uzbekistan, April 9 -- According to the data of the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan turned into a net exporter of gas during the first two months of the year. The country boosted gas exports to China by more than half, reaching $42 million.

In January, Uzbekistan sold $21.8 million worth of gas to China - a 9% increase from January 2024. In February, exports surged to $20.2 million, tripling the previous year's figure.

Russia claimed the top spot among gas exporters to China, shipping $1.75 billion worth of gas in the first two months of the year. Turkmenistan unexpectedly fell to second place with $1.38 billion. Myanmar followed with $277.1 million, then Kazakhstan with $170.2 million, along with the United States and Italy....
