Uzbekistan announces discounts and subsidies to boost tourism
Tashkent, March 1 -- In a bid to develop tourism, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to modify the taxing and subsiding system in the tourism sector of the country.
The government has approved the document and it includes the following changes:
Tickets for local flights will be sold with a 25% discount, and if purchased through tour operators, the price will be reduced by another 15% - the total discount will be 40%.
Discounts apply to:
- flights "Fergana-Urgench-Fergana", "Termez-Urgench-Termez" and "Karshi-Urgench-Karshi" (they will be fully launched by mid-March);
- railway routes "Andijan - Khiva - Andijan";
