Uzbekistan, Feb. 20 -- The average annual water demand in Uzbekistan is 51 billion m3. Only 15-20% of this water is sourced within the country, while the rest comes from neighboring nations. This was highlighted during the "Government Hour" of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. It was noted that 91% of the total water is used in agriculture, while the remaining 9% is allocated to communal services, industry, and energy.
