Tashkent, March 13 -- Timur Rahmonov, who served as the consul general in Novosibirsk from 2021 to 2024, has been appointed as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia. He is a 46-year-old diplomat who graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Rahmonov has a vast experience in various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including roles in Poland, Italy, and Spain.

He is proficient in Russian, English, Polish, and Spanish. Prior to his appointment in Latvia, Rahmonov served as the head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Latvia from 2019 to 2024.
