Uzbekistan, April 11 -- The 150th anniversary assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was held in Tashkent from April 5 to 9. The event brought together representatives from around 190 national parliaments worldwide. Nearly 2,000 leading politicians, parliament speakers, and heads of international organizations from 140 countries took part. In addition, over 50 international and observer organizations attended the assembly. Many bilateral and multilateral meetings were held during the event. Participants exchanged views on key topics such as gender equality, ecology, education, technology, and international conflicts. Several panel sessions were also organized. On the final day, the Tashkent Declaration was officially adopted.
