Tashkent, Feb. 6 -- It is planned to increase tariffs for water supply and sewerage services for residents and companies in the Tashkent region. This was reported by the regional branch of Uzsuvta'minot.

According to the adopted resolution, the state-owned company attributes the move to rising costs for salaries, system maintenance and repair, electricity, as well as tax payments and loan repayments. The new tariffs should come into force on February 20. The rates for households will increase by 17.6%; for legal entities, by 28.6% in the case of water supply and by 8% in the case of sewerage.
