Tashkent, May 2 -- Private notaries have started their activities on May 1, the Ministry of Justice reported. Their activity is allowed pursuant to presidential decree of September 2019. The goal is to meet the demand of the population for notary services, create a free competitive environment in the field of notaries and eliminate unnecessary red tape, bureaucracy and corruption.

Private notary practise was banned in May 2010. The reason was violations and abuses in the work of notaries.

From now on, notary services are provided on any day of the week, which should eliminate the problem of queues at notary offices.
