Tashkent, Sept. 24 -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday. He highlighted the recent reforms underway in the republic, aimed at bolstering free parliamentary elections, media, and non-governmental organizations. He also presented his vision on topical issues of the regional and global agenda and outlined the priorities of the political, social, and economic modernization of Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of his speech, Mirziyoyev highlighted large-scale reforms underway in Uzbekistan. These reforms can be seen in the judicial sphere, in the rule of law, providing gender equality and etc. The uncompromising fight against corruption has been raised to a new level.
