Tashkent, June 17 -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a regular video conference on Wednesday lambasted the higher education sector, noting that those specialists being prepared by educational institutions today do not meet the demand neither with quality nor with quantity. According to him, out of 815 areas of study, 55% do not meet the requirements of the labor market. Universities experience a lack of textbooks, while the curricula are based on subjects and directions of forty years ago. Another big headache is corruption.
