Tashkent, Feb. 2 -- The CERR jointly with the Statistics Agency assessed the level of monetary poverty in Uzbekistan. According to the results, by the end of 2023, the poverty level in Uzbekistan has decreased to 11.0%. More details are in the following report.

It is estimated that about 10 thousand households participated in the 2021 survey, and in 2022 coverage exceeded 14 thousand, while during 2023 more than 16 thousand families across the country were surveyed.

If during 2022, poverty in Uzbekistan decreased from 17% to 14%, then next year the poverty level decreased to 11%. According to calculations, another 1 million people were brought out of poverty in 2023.
