Tashkent, May 5 -- Sergeant of the National Guard of Uzbekistan Husniddin Suyarov died while rescuing people in the area of flooding in the Syrdarya region, which occurred due to the break of one of the dams on the Sardoba reservoir.

According to the press service of the National Guard, on May 1, two employees that had been engaged in the evacuation of residents were carried away by a strong current.

"As a result, Sergeant Husniddin Suyarov was killed. On behalf of the command and personnel of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, we express our deep condolences to the family members and relatives of Sergeant Suyarov, who remained faithful to his duty until his last breath," the publication states.
