Tashkent, Feb. 11 -- The Uzbek government has decided to complete the transition to the Latin alphabet, the press service of Justice Ministry said on February 11.

It is mandatory for following documents to be in Latin script:

- ID cards, residence permits of foreign citizens and documents of stateless persons;

- official documents;

- names of streets, places, organizations, advertisements.

The activities of central, print and electronic media, Internet sites, publishing houses, printing companies are also to be carried out in the Latin alphabet.
