Tashkent, Feb. 22 -- A German company plans to build a multimodal transport and logistics center in the Andijan region. During Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Germany in September, last year, Uzbekistan Railways and Rhenus agreed on the construction of a multimodal logistics center. The agreement involves the creation of a joint venture, UzContargo Andijan, based on a logistics center in Andijan.

Until 2026, €20 million will be invested in the project. In the future, the logistics center will process up to 250-300 thousand tons of cargo annually.
