Tashkent, Feb. 23 -- The Egyptian company Solyphar will build a modern pharmaceutical plant in the Tashkent region, Uzbekistan's Agency for the development of the pharmaceutical industry said on February 23.

"The joint project provides for the construction of a new facility in the Tashkent region worth more than $20mn. The annual production capacity will be 500mn tablets, 200mn capsules and 10mn sachets. In general, this is more than 120 types of drugs. The new production facility will meet the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice - GMR, " said Sardor Kariev, Director of the Agency.
