Tashkent, March 27 -- According to data from 2023, there was an 11% decrease in criminal cases related to corruption compared to the previous year. Specifically, out of over 6,000 individuals brought to justice, 1,000 were deprived of their freedom, as reported by the anti-corruption agency.

Moreover, the most commonly occurring corruption crimes include embezzlement, bribery both giving and receiving, fraud, and abuse of power or authority. The incidence of individuals committing these crimes has risen in the Andijan, Syrdarya, and Surkhandarya regions.
