Tashkent, Nov. 26 -- Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Austria Abat Fayzullayev met with the Minister's adviser, Director of the department for multilateral trade policy of the Ministry of economy and digitalization of Austria Juliane Kerer.

The parties discussed priority areas in the framework of cooperation to obtain the status of a beneficiary of the GSP+ system for Uzbekistan, as well as issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

The GSP+ system (Generalized System of Preferences) is part of the common system of preferences of the European Union. It offers beneficiary countries zero tariff rates for exports to the EU for more than 6,200 commodity items.
