U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), and Representative Maggie Goodlander (D-N.H.) filed an amicus brief raising concerns about Genesis Healthcare Inc.'s (Genesis) potential attempt to exploit the bankruptcy system at the expense of victims, workers, and other businesses, and urging the judge to appoint an independent examiner.
