U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today spoke on the Senate floor to honor the victims of the January 29th, 2025, tragedy that occurred nearly a year ago when Flight 5342, originating from Wichita, Kansas, collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport (DCA), resulting in the loss of 67 lives.
"A year later, the memory of this tragedy, the deadliest aviation incident that America has witnessed in nearly 25 years, is as painful as it was when we first heard the news," said Sen. Moran. "The victims were husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, friends and coworkers."
