SYRACUSE, N.Y., May 2 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration issued the text of the following speech:

Eric Ares, age 38, of Utica, New York, was sentenced today to serve 120 months in federal prison for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and to distribute fentanyl, and possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, announced United States Attorney Carla Freedman, Frank A. Tarentino III, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New York Division and Thomas Fattorusso, Executive Special Agent in Charge of the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI), New York Field Office.
