ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,214,024, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to ZZ Biotech LLC (Houston).

"Use of APC analogue for wound healing" was invented by Meilang Xue (New South Wales, Australia) and Christopher John Jackson (New South Wales, Australia).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to wound repair and healing, particularly to dermal or cutaneous wounds including but not limited to acute and chronic wounds, burns and ulcers."

The patent was filed on Sept. 13, 2019, under Application No. 16/569,975.
