ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,525, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Zoox Inc. (Foster City, Calif.).

"Fault diagnosis for autonomous vehicles" was invented by Lilith Rogue Automata (San Francisco), Patrick Rice (San Francisco), Jae Kyung Chong (Redwood City, Calif.), James Peter Gregory (Berkeley, Calif.) and Maria Smirnoff (San Francisco).
