ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,657, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Zoox Inc. (Foster City, Calif.).

"Occupant protection system including expandable curtain and/or expandable bladder" was invented by Markus Jost (San Mateo, Calif.), Andrew John Piper (Palo Alto, Calif.), Josh Alexander Jimenez (San Francisco) and Timothy David Kentley-Klay (Stanford, Calif.).
