ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,110, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Zomedica Biotechnologies LLC (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
"Crowded sensor" was invented by Ian Harmon (Golden Valley, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sensor device includes a sensor, which may include an acoustic wave resonator structure, having a surface to which analyte capture ligand is bound. The device also includes a crowding agent to reduce the ratio of binding of an analyte in a sample composition to the analyte capture ligand when the sample composition is flowed across the surface of the sensor."
The patent was filed on March 25, 2024, under Application No. 18/615,461.
