US Patent Issued to ZOLL Medical on Nov. 4 for "Automated delivery of medical device support software" (Massachusetts Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,458,788, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to ZOLL Medical Corp. (Chelmsford, Mass.).

"Automated delivery of medical device support software" was invented by Eric W. Brown (Saugus, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Embodiments of the present invention include a portable medical device with an integrated web server. The portable medical device is configured to establish a communication session with a user device. The integrated web server is configured to load software onto the user computing device for exchanging data with the portable medical device."
