ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,295,958, issued on May 13, was assigned to Zoetis Services LLC (Parsippany, N.J.).

"Ready-to-use injectable formulations" was invented by Vijaya Bharti Joshi (Portage, Mich.), Laibin Luo (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Todd P. Foster (Kalamazoo, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention describes a ready-to-use injectable cephalosporin composition with reasonable viscosity, resuspendability, and syringeability attributes for injection as an antibiotic for animals."

The patent was filed on March 5, 2020, under Application No. 17/435,429.
