US Patent Issued to ZEPHYROS on June 10 for "Extrusion method and apparatus" (French Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,047, issued on June 10, was assigned to ZEPHYROS INC. (Romeo, Mich.).

"Extrusion method and apparatus" was invented by Vincent Hoff (Molsheim, France) and Christophe Epp (Molsheim, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Improvements in the extrusion of thermohardenable materials are achieved by cooling the material in the initial zone of the extruder and reducing residence time by use of a prescribed length to diameter ratio and screw speed, particularly useful for intermittent application during robotically controlled mass production."
