ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,280,582, issued on April 22, was assigned to ZEPHYROS INC (Romeo, Mich.).
"Reformable epoxy resin for composites" was invented by Sylvain Gleyal (West Bloomfield, Mich.), Craig Chmielewski (Shelby Township, Mich.), Brandon Madaus (Shelby Township, Mich.) and Alejandro Gutierrez (Romeo, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention contemplates a method for forming a composite structure including a plurality of rigid layers and one or more reformable epoxy resin layers. The resulting composite is molded to form a non-planar composite structure."
The patent was filed on Feb. 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/112,899.
