US Patent Issued to ZEON on April 22 for "Fibrous carbon nanostructure and method of producing surface-modified fibrous carbon nanostructure" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,014, issued on April 22, was assigned to ZEON Corp. (Tokyo).

"Fibrous carbon nanostructure and method of producing surface-modified fibrous carbon nanostructure" was invented by Osamu Kawakami (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a fibrous carbon nanostructure that has excellent dispersibility after surface modification treatment. The fibrous carbon nanostructure has an amount of localized electrons of 1.0x1017/g or more as determined by electron spin resonance measurement at a temperature of 10 K."

The patent was filed on Dec. 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/757,315.
