ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,245,681, issued on March 11, was assigned to Yellow Leaf Hammocks LLC (Venice, Calif.).

"Free-standing hammock stand" was invented by Iosef Demin (Venice, Calif.), Rachel Connors (Venice, Calif.), Bryce Gibson (Dedham, Mass.) and Kurt MacLaurin (Lincoln, Mass.).
