ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,331,324, issued on June 17, was assigned to Yeda Research and Development Co. Ltd. (Rehovot, Israel).

"Versatile peroxidases and uses thereof" was invented by Sarel Fleishman (Rehovot, Israel) and Shiran Barber-Zucker (Rehovot, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Recombinant peroxidase enzymes are disclosed having mutations that increase yield when expressed in yeast cells as compared to their corresponding wild-type peroxidase enzyme. Methods of generating are also disclosed as well as uses thereof."

The patent was filed on May 23, 2024, under Application No. 18/672,113.
