ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,381,289, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to YAZAKI Corp. (Tokyo).

"Bus bar" was invented by Takahiro Chaen (Shizuoka, Japan) and Yasuhiro Yamaguchi (Shizuoka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bus bar includes a wiring pathway made from a conductive material and having bent portions bending at at least two sites of the wiring pathway. The wiring pathway includes members consecutively arranged to form a plate shape. At least two of the members have different characteristics. The members adjacent to each other are connected to each other by laser joining."

The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2022, under Application No. 17/882,117.
