ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,417,754, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to YAMAHA Corp. (Hamamatsu, Japan).
"Electric guitar body-structure and electric guitar" was invented by Hideto Matsuda (Hamamatsu, Japan) and Kenta Ishizaka (Hamamatsu, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A body structure of an electric guitar includes a body including a first chamber and a second chamber formed spaced apart from each other, and a slit that connects the first chamber and the second chamber."
The patent was filed on Aug. 29, 2023, under Application No. 18/457,430.
