ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,225,342, issued on Feb. 11, was assigned to Yamaha Corp. (Hamamatsu, Japan).

"Coaxial speaker horn, and coaxial speaker" was invented by Katsutoki Hanayama (Hamamatsu, Japan), Hiroyuki Shiojima (Hamamatsu, Japan) and Bahari Satriyo (East Java, Indonesia).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A coaxial speaker horn constitutes a coaxial speaker together with a tweeter and a woofer. The coaxial speaker horn includes a plurality of through holes arranged around an entire circumference of the horn."

The patent was filed on Oct. 24, 2022, under Application No. 17/971,731.
