ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,208,399, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to Yale University (New Haven, Conn.).
"Electrochemical separation and recovery of metals" was invented by Megan O'Connor (Guilford, Conn.) and Desiree Plata (Guilford, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a novel filtration apparatus for the selective separation of metals from a mixture thereof. The invention also provides a method for the separation and isolation of metals from a sample using electrochemical precipitation."
