ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,357, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Yale University (New Haven, Conn.).

"Compositions and methods for treating sickle cell disease" was invented by Peter Glazer (Guilford, Conn.), Elias Quijano (Durham, Conn.), W. Mark Saltzman (New Haven, Conn.) and Hee Won Suh (New Haven, Conn.).
