ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,074, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to YALE UNIVERSITY (New Haven, Conn.).

"Treatment for Wolfram syndrome" was invented by Barbara Ehrlich (New Haven, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is directed to a novel treatment for Wolfram Syndrome or heterozygous wolframin, to methods of treatment in order to delay, inhibit, ameliorate and/or reduce the likelihood of symptomology of a patient with Wolfram Syndrome or heterozygous wolframin."

The patent was filed on May 26, 2020, under Application No. 17/610,041.
