ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,465,377, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INC. (Memphis, Tenn.).
"Talar implant" was invented by David G. Reynolds (Fairport, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a prosthesis for ankle arthroplasty including a talar dome component configured to be attached to a talus bone. Also provided is a guide instrument for guiding a reamer to prepare a talus to receive the talar dome component."
The patent was filed on June 13, 2022, under Application No. 17/838,771.
