US Patent Issued to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY on March 4 for "Drill alignment guide" (Tennessee, Mississippi Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,239,329, issued on March 4, was assigned to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INC. (Memphis, Tenn.).

"Drill alignment guide" was invented by Vinay D. Patel (Memphis, Tenn.) and Shannon D. Cummings (Hernando, Miss.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A surgical drill alignment guide is disclosed that can provide an accurate trajectory for placement of a bone screw along a longitudinal axis of a bone."
