US Patent Issued to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY on June 17 for "Targeting guide" (Tennessee Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,393, issued on June 17, was assigned to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INC. (Memphis, Tenn.).

"Targeting guide" was invented by Robert Michael Carlo (Lakeland, Tenn.) and George Matthew Awtrey (Bartlett, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are bone screw drill targeting guides and methods for using such targeting guides that are useful in surgical procedures for correcting hallux valgus deformity."
