ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,527,669, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to WRIGHT MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INC. (Memphis, Tenn.).

"Multiaxial modular tibia stems" was invented by Steven L. Haddad (Glenview, Ill.), Gary W. Lowery (Eads, Tenn.) and Jesse G. Moore (Germantown, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are tibia stem components of ankle replacement prosthesis that are designed to engage dense tibia bone to reduce implant migration over long term."

The patent was filed on Jan. 27, 2022, under Application No. 17/649,088.
