ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,322,886, issued on June 3, was assigned to Wolfspeed Inc. (Durham, N.C.).
"Power module having electrical interconnections using mechanical fittings and process of implementing the same" was invented by Ben Samples (Fayetteville, Ark.), Zach Cole (Summers, Ark.) and Amol Deshpande (Fayetteville, Ark.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A power module includes at least one power substrate; a plurality of power devices arranged on the at least one power substrate; and a power connector configured to be electrically connected to the plurality of power devices. The power connector includes a mechanically compliant fitting."
