ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,595, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (Madison, Wis.).
"Mechanically stable and high cell density honeycomb retinal scaffold design for transplantation therapy of photoreceptor cells and retinal pigment epithelium" was invented by Zhenqiang Ma (Middleton, Wis.), Inkyu Lee (Madison, Wis.), Juhwan Lee (Madison, Wis.), Michael Phillips (Stoughton, Wis.), David Gamm (Waunakee, Wis.) and Shaoqin Gong (Middleton, Wis.).
