ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,593, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (Madison, Wis.).
"Generation of hematopoietic progenitor cells from human pluripotent stem cells" was invented by James A. Thomson (Madison, Wis.) and Jue Zhang (Madison, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for generating and using hematopoietic progenitor cells are described."
