ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,627, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (Madison, Wis.) and WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY (Pullman, Wash.).
"Genetically modified nitrogen fixing bacteria and uses thereof" was invented by John Peters (Pullman, Wash.), Florence Mus (Pullman, Wash.), Jean-Michel Ane (Madison, Wis.) and Devanshi Khokhani (Madison, Wis.).
