ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,425,962, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to WIRELESS FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES INC. (Ottawa).

"Searching for control channels in a wireless network" was invented by Frank Frederiksen (Klarup, Denmark) and Troels Emil Kolding (Klarup, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A user equipment (UE) may receive an OFDM signal having control channel elements (CCEs). The CCEs may be arranged in levels where a first level aggregates less CCEs than a second level. A processor may search for a control channel from control channel candidates that is comprised of the CCEs. A limited number of CCEs may be searched on the first level."
