ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. RE50,451, issued on June 10, was assigned to WINGEN LLC (Buda, Texas).
"Calibrachoa plant with radially symmetric coloration" was invented by Ushio Sakazaki (Shiga, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to Calibrachoa plants displaying at least one inflorescence with a radially symmetric pattern along the center of the fused petal margins, wherein the pattern extends from the center of the inflorescence and does not fade during the life of the inflorescence."
The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2016, under Application No. 15/229,819.
