ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,336,626, issued on June 24, was assigned to Wine Masters Cellars LLC.
"Bottle storage device" was invented by John F. Paulick (San Luis Obispo, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wine bottle holder including a plate and an extension member coupled to the plate. The extension member may extend outwards from the plate and a ring may be coupled to the extension member. The ring may be configured to receive a portion of the wine bottle. The ring may include a cylindrical body with opposite surfaces that are parallel to each other. The opposite surfaces may define oblique openings."
