ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,442,263, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Weatherford Technology Holdings LLC (Houston).
"Liner deployment tool" was invented by Jeffrey D. Herndon (Bakersfield, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gravel pack system includes a liner assembly for positioning in a wellbore. A deployment assembly includes a cross-over tool to facilitate gravel packing without manipulation of the work string. The system includes an isolation packer assembly which is deployed at the upper end of the liner assembly upon exit of the workstring from the wellbore."
The patent was filed on Sept. 29, 2023, under Application No. 18/478,940.
