US Patent Issued to Weatherford Technology Holdings on April 29 for "Debris catcher for use in a subterranean wellbore" (Texas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,851, issued on April 29, was assigned to Weatherford Technology Holdings LLC (Houston).

"Debris catcher for use in a subterranean wellbore" was invented by Emmett Arboneaux (Houston) and Brandon Bourg (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A debris catcher assembly includes a debris filter assembly having a selectively operable valve. such as a rupture disk, to allow a secondary flow path should the debris filter assembly become clogged with debris."

The patent was filed on June 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/332,436.
